My poor baby is sick with chickenpox. She has a fever, aches and pain and of coarse, lots of itching! The poor girl has chicken pox everywhere...in her mouth, ears...everywhere. So much so that she keeps complaining "Mama, I have a wedgie!" She has been crying at night, and for the better part of the day. Except when she is watching TV. So, she has been watching a LOT of Dora.
We have tried everything to keep her comfortable. An oatmeal bath seemed to help the most, along with Tylenol. The Epsom Salt bath only resulted in more tears. Tomorrow we'll go back to the oatmeal bath.
The anti itch cream seems to help as well. However, at first the poor girl cried and cried as I applied it. It was so very cold and her whole body was full of goose bumps. I think it must literally have hurt.
I have been trying to keep Raina away from the mirrors, because when she sees herself she cries even more and says, "Mama, my face no pretty!" or "Mama, my face yook weird!"

Awww, poor baby! That sounds awful :( She still looks beautiful though. I hope she feels better really soon.

She does not look happy! It is good she got them so young though and before the newest one gets home!

ps you can also try a baking powder type of scrub (mix it with some water) and put it all over (it will be cold though) but it helps with the itching as well.
